Submission types
We invite proposals for the following presentation formats:
- Individual papers (20-minute presentations plus 10 minutes for discussion): Original research contributions presenting completed work or substantial work in progress
- Thematic panels (90 minutes): Organized sessions with 3-4 speakers addressing a unified theme from multiple perspectives. Panel organizers should submit an abstract for the panel plus individual abstracts for each presentation.
Submission guidelines
Abstract requirements
- Individual papers:
- 250 words (excluding references)
- The title of the paper
- A list of 3-5 key words describing the area and focus
- The name(s) of the author(s) and their affiliation(s)
- The e-mail address and contact details of the author(s)
- Panel proposals:
- 400-word overview plus 250-word abstracts for each paper (see the requirements above)
Abstracts should clearly state the research question, theoretical framework, methodology (where applicable), key findings or arguments, and significance to the field.

Deadline
The abstract submission deadline is 20 June 2026 and the notification of acceptance will be received by 10 July 2024.
Presentation guidelines
The official languages for the presentations are English, French and German. In case of presentations in French and German, we encourage you to prepare a short English version as well so that other participants can attend.

All conference registration fees cover cost of registration, materials and coffee breaks.
In case of co-authored presentations, the second presenter will pay 50% of the rate (s)he is entitled.
Payment methods
In case you require an invoice, please specify this before making the payment.
Please be advised that we cannot accept onsite payments.
Payment may be made in Euro (EUR) or Lei (RON). Payments in Lei (RON) will be made on the basis of the exchange rate established by the National Bank of Romania (www.bnr.ro). Be advised that this payment method entails bank fees, and we cannot be held responsible for any bank charges you may incur (nor “slippage” due to exchange rate changes). Please make sure we get the full registration fee, i.e., you will pay for the bank fees.

Publication
All the papers presented within the conference sections should be written in English before being submitted to the peer-review process. Upon successful peer-review, they will be proposed for publication in one of the following:
- Special issue of the Bulletin of Transilvania University of Brașov: Series IV. Philology. Cultural Studies. The journal is B category for Humanities (Romanian Research Council) and is indexed in EBSCO, CEEOL, and WorldCat.
- Volume of conference proceedings published by Transilvania University Press, B category for Humanities (Romanian Research Council).
